Well, I got transferred here in Baguio under La Trinidad Ward. I didn't even expect that I was going to get transferred here, well yeah, I already anticipated that I was, going to transfer but not here. I was kinda planning to make Baguio my mission dying place. Like you know, how cool is that? Haha! Apparently, that's not what just happened. My companions right now are Elder Licayan and Elder Lanogan, Lanogan is actually my batch mate. We're on trio right now and probably will stay like this until the end of the transfer or until President change his mind.. You know? There will be a new area that's going to be open soon. And it's still not sure if it's me, or Licayan that's going there. Other companion is also on a trio. And might get one from them to put in Mountain Province.

So this is all the missionary in La Trinidad Ward. from left is Elder Jahnke, Me, Elder Licayan, Elder Jaluag, Elder Tumera, and Elder Lanogan.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Haha. Hearing people greeting one another with Merry Christmas makes me miss my home stake, home ward, and my FAMILY Haha! Guess I just had my separation-anxiety right before my 8th month here in the field. HAHA! Jeez! it took so long to take it's effect. Haha! Please bear with me, its my very first Christmas season faraway from home :) But don't worry. I'm all good,  ðŸ˜‡ EVERYONE IS OHANA! ðŸ˜œðŸ‘Œ

Well, I really hate transfer. Haha! Guess what? I got transferred to Baguio Zone, here in La Trinidad Ward ðŸ™‹ Woohooo! from low land to highland with a lot of pollution! Seriously tho, its so hard to transition from HIGH HEAT to SUPER COLD environment plus having a special skill not to breathe smokes. Haha! (I can call myself a CERTIFIED BAGUIO MISSIONARY. HAHA!) It's alright tho. I always pray to open up a new area in Mt. Province.. We're on trio right now.. And it's still not sure if we're going to get along the whole transfer. One might move to Mt. Province and open a new branch there! (the other companionship is on trio too) Isn't it amazing?! Just to let you know, a lot of members traveled 4 hours just to attend Sunday Service here in Baguio. They are from Sagada, Cervantes, Buntok. And sometimes they can only attend once a month Sunday Service because of some circumstances. I know the Lord will bless them because of their faith ðŸ˜‡ I just know it. And of course one of it would be the upcoming new branch or district. Please, please include them in your prayers.

And you know what? Christmas season, specially this December means a lot to me. Why? Because exactly 5 years ago.. I can reminisce the things I've done, the things I gave up, things I sacrificed to have this gospel in my life. If you haven't realize it, dates from 2011 and 2016 are the same :) So yeah, this coming December 24, 2016 would be my 5th year anniversary, being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. The Church is true, the gospel is real. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves us so much. I know that the Book of Mormon can change your life. It changed mine forever. I know it can change yours too. Believe me, ponder about it.. pray for it..

I'm not a perfect Missionary, never was I :) I got tons of ups and downs. But I'm trying to learn and improve. But I know I'm not the same that I was before. My Mission President taught me that, ''There will only be 1 convert in your whole mission life, it will be YOU. Mission will not change you, the GOSPEL will''

So believe in yourself. Know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will never leave you. It is not their nature, it is never their nature to do so. Its true that the first and greatest commandment is ''To love God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.'' But the first great truth, is that God loves us, with all of his heart, his soul, and his mind ðŸ˜Š

Alrighty, that's it for now. Gotta send some photos next week!
Cheers for a Merry Christmas ^-^

Sorry for not writing last week. I was bored to post. Haha! My bad. But anyways, it was a good week tho. We had baptism last last Saturday.. Buuyaaahh! Remember our candidate who's baptism got postponed? Haha! At last, she made it to her baptism last November 26. It was great of course, you see, she's been investigatin' the church for about a year now. She was going to church but not consistent, we've got troubles teaching her 'cause her husband goes home only on weekends! So we had to pull out a member just to teach her. But yeah, I was really glad that she's loving the church. (Not the missionaries! No no no no) Haha!

I don't know what to post

Remember when I said that this blog is intended to share depression? Yeah, this is me sharing some. I can't focus, I think a lot and I don't know. I can feel the Spirit whenever I teach, tho at times that I'm alone or we don't anything to do.. I get sad often. I don't know why..

Once I was 7 months old~~ (November 14)

Howdy everyone!

Kamusta ang Naga, Iriga, Daet, Daraga, Sorsogon, Iloilo, CDO, Quezon City, Laguna, Olongapo, Urdaneta, Cauayan, Cebu, Butuan, Davao, Provo, Colorado, Arizona, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Hawaii?! Haha. I pray that all of you folks are safe and happy!

So yeah, this is me with ''My Four Words''. Our mission tradition still continues even President Balledos left :) Last year it was ''My Three Words'' but President Bangal insisted to make it four! Haha! it was fun and exciting to create some phrase that somehow explain or define your mission life.

So.. What's your ''Four words''? :)

[BE AMBITIOUS OF CHRIST]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last week was tiring but things got better last Saturday. As we witnessed our investigator to be baptized. Her name is Marah Valdez. Her family is special, they are very receptive and they read, they pray and go to Church.. She and her family is a recent convert in a near baptist church just last September! And we got the chance to talk to her brother and then visited them in their place. Her Mother got a very strong faith and is already next in line to be baptize, hopefully this coming December, we'll have a White Christmas with 4 of them getting baptized!

This is a sea-grape. Arosip is what they call it here :) Try it! It's crunchy and yummyXD

And oh! Good news! I'm getting white-ish :D Imma proud with it! Haha. They say ''by small and simple things, great things are brought to pass''. Haha! Joke!

So that's all for today :) Catch you next Monday!

Hugs and kisses from Baguio Mission!

Send me Pouches! :P

Miracles everywhere! (week 25)

Heyy folks! How are you?? Hoping that you guys are doing great! ðŸ˜Š You know what? Last week was really something! It was fun and our work got even fruitful than ever :D

Remember when I say that we hiked last week? Haha! So yea, the thing on the horizon is just the West Philippine Sea, It has an Island that still part of Area. HAHA! Woohoo!

First off! Transfer day! My 4th and new companion is Elder Ortega. (''Ortega'' are well known people here in La Union ðŸ˜¼) Well anyways, yea, so he's my new companion now, he's a clown! (When I'm with Elder Ortega I remember my friend who's happily serving in Iloilo Mission! Haha) but he's good and kind. We're really excited to smash the area with baptisms! Woohoo! BTW, we still have 13 IBD's and 10 of them are progressing! (Isn't that something?!)

Second is our baptism! Woohoo! 2nd in the row! ðŸ˜‡So here you go, this is Tavora Family. This family is special to me, they are near to my heart ðŸ˜Š You know why? The Father, Bro Marlon Tavora was inactive for 8 consecutive years!, he's been a member of the Church for such a long time, however due to some circumstances, he's unable to attend church on Sunday.  So that made him not go to church.... BUT!!!!! Just a month ago, we decided to visit him and his children. They are so sweet! They always give us snacks! Haha! (Kidding) Bro Marlon always wanted to baptize his daughters, and that way of thinking is amazing. (A father who wanted his daughters to grow up in the Church. Knowing its standards and belief ðŸ˜‡He's a solo parent but I admire his dedication to teach his daughters about the ways of the Church.. So previous Missionaries visited them, they struggle going to church on Sundays however we taught about it's importance. And luckily they accepted our invitation! So yea, he started working up on his daughter's baptisms! And they progress and pray and read and go to church every Sunday. Whenever we walk by their house we hear Jian read the Book of Mormon out loud. Haha! And last Saturday was the big day for them! The 2 kids got baptized and confirmed by their own father :) And the moment when Brother Marlon bore his testimony about the church, it melts our heart and brought us to tears. The Spirit works in many ways. And I testify of that ðŸ™‹

So.. if you're going to ask how well I am today? I can say that I'm great, tho there are also times when I get sad (That's the inevitable part for missionaries. We get sad too y'know!) Usually I'm happy when it's Monday! Haha! (If you know what I mean :P Haha. So yea, that's all folks. Thank you for reading! Email you next Monday! :)

PS: Please send me letters! ^-^

Sending my love from La Union!

Week 24

So here it goes! (cough)
Naimbag a bigat kenyayo amin!!! Kamusta ti biag yo mga kabsat? :) Siak? Mayatmet! Naimbag met!

Haha! Just trippin' with some of mainstream ilocano that we're trying to say every time we get to meet an Investigator :D Well, anyway! How are you folks? This week is transfer week! So I bet you already knew how/what I feel in times like this :) (Saaaaaaaad!)

This week went pretty well, we had baptism last Saturday and the kid got confirmed the other day. You know what? That family was in-active for 2 years. And we just found out that, that kid (Matt Ivan Lino) was not yet baptized. So we work it out, and eventually they accept the invitation to go back to church That family is special, they've got a big and strong testimony about the Church and the Spirit really works on them. Now, they are striving really hard to get back on track and enjoy again the blessings of the Gospel :) And for me that's a miracle. Miracle works in many ways, don't you think? That Kid wanted to serve a Mission someday, he told us that He and his Sister wanted to got to the field one day and just serve and share the Gospel. And it just melts our hearts that they also had that burning desire. :)

Me and Elder Dela Cruz are really happy about our work, because, after a long time of drought, we finally get someone to baptize and feel the truthfulness of the Gospel. It's just too bad that Elder Dela Cruz is getting transferred tomorrow. We still have 12 IBD's and all of them are progressing, 8 of them are next in line this coming November, hopefully this coming month we can achieve having a 'weekly baptism'.. And we're not doing this for the Zone, nor for the Mission.. We had this mindset, (Me and my companion) that we're going to do this for them. We're going to strive really hard to share the Gospel and teach them about Jesus Christ. So with that, we're happy to teach and the Spirit is motivating us to work hard. Their salvation is upon our hands. and without us, they can't get in to the kingdom of God. So we need to work. :)

**About the typhoon? It didn't hit us that much but with my previous area they are wrecked. I was told that until now they don't have any power or water line in Abra. But please, please include them in your prayers :)

**a while ago we we're granted to do some Zone Activity. We hike on some mountains on our area and it's good! the view was fascinating and relaxing. Woohoo! So we just went there and play and ate some snacks.
